EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION :-
Candidates should possess the following or its equivalent qualification on the date of this
Notification, viz. 12-02-2011:
(i) B.L. Degree of any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grant.
AND
(ii) Must be a Member of the Bar and must have had active practice in Criminal Courts for a period of not less than 5 years.
Explanation:-
The expression “active practice in Criminal Courts” shall include the period of service rendered by a person as a temporary Assistant Public Prosecutor, Grade –II.
AND
(iii) Must possess adequate knowledge of Tamil.
Explanation:-
For this purpose a person will be deemed to possess an adequate knowledge of Tamil if he/she has passed the S.S.L.C. Public examination or its equivalent examination with Tamil as one of the languages or studied in the High School Course in Tamil Medium and passed the S.S.L.C Public Examination in Tamil Medium or passed the Second Class Language Test (Full Test) in Tamil conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.
(Note under paragraph 10 of the Commission’s “Instructions, etc. to candidates” will not apply to this recruitment.)
PROCEDURE OF SELECTION:- Selection will be made in two successive stages i.e., (i) Written Examination and (ii) Oral Test. (For further details please refer paragraph 22(b) of the ‘Instructions, etc. to candidates’).
EXAMINATION FEE:- Rs.125/- (Rupees One Hundred and twenty five only) Examination fees should be paid only through any one of the post offices listed in Annexure III of Information Brochure. Candidates (other than those who apply Online) should inform their OMR application Number to the Counter Clerk of the Post Office for obtaining the Postal Receipt.
