At the end of each semester, the University conducts regular examinations for UG, PG and M.Phil programmes. The students who have earned 80% of attendance from the University Departments/Constituent Colleges and 75% of attendance from the affiliated Colleges in each semester are eligible to appear for the University examinations.

To qualify for a pass, a student should secure 50% marks in the examinations in the case of PG and M.Phil programmes and 35% in the case of UG programme. Double valuation is followed for the PG programmes offered by the University departments and M.Phil programmes, In case, the difference between two valuation exceeds 15% marks, the the paper is referred to a third examiner. The examination section is fully computerised to maintain confidentiality and ensure quick services.

Supplementary Examination

The University a special supplementary examination at the end of the academic year for those who are having arrear in one subject (either theory or practical) to complete their programme of study. The following norms are followed for the conduct of special supplementary examinations.

The special supplementary examinations will be held in the last week of July in the case of University Departments/Constituent Colleges and third week of July in the case of affiliated colleges every year. In both the cases the examinations will be conducted at KARAIKUDI only.

SELECTION PROCESS:

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Flying Squad shall be set up at following Zonal Offices: Lucknow, Muzaffarpur, Raipur, Chennai & Kolkata.

At each of the above centres, Flying Squad team shall consist of one retired Scale IV/V and two retired Scale III/IV Officers.

The flying squad shall carry out surprise inspections especially in fraud prone areas / branches to verify that Maker-Checker concept in the Branches is strictly adhered to, KYC norms are followed and computer generated supplimentaries and other reports are regularly checked. These Officials shall also verify that various certificates and reports are regularly submitted by the Branches to their controlling Offices and reports/certificates submitted by the Branches to their controlling Offices are correct. These duties are indicative and broad guidelines shall be provided at appropriate time.

COMPENSATION

These Officials shall not be required to visit the Branches on regular basis and as such their services are not required on daily basis. Accordingly, it is proposed to pay @ Rs.1000/- per day + TA/DA (equivalent to the Scale IV/V) forretired Scale IV/V as the case may be, for the number of days they are engaged in a month and Rs. 750/- per day + TA/DA (equivalent to the Scale III) forretired Scale III for the number of days they are engaged in a month. These Officers will not be entitled to any other benefits and they can not claim regular employment in the Bank.

Selection Procedure : The eligible candidates will be called for personal interview before a committee of executives and the decision of the bank in this regard shall be final.

About VTU

VTU is one of the biggest Technological University in India, having 144 colleges affiliated to it with under graduate course in 27 disciplines and PG Programme in 66 disciplines. The intake at UG level is about 45000 students and at the PG level it is about 7500 students. The University has 14 QIP centre in various affiliated colleges and 14 extension centres for offering PG programmes. There are over 200 departments recognized as research centres. At present over 1000students / faculty are registered for Ph.D degree and over 180 students are registered for their Msc.. (Engg). One anticipated vacant post w.e.f. 01 Aug 2010 of Sanitary Inspector is required to be filled in Armed Forces Headquarters/Inter Services Organizations, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi on absorption/deputation/reemployment basis as per details given below.

POST : 01 Sanitary Inspector

Classification : Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial General Central Service.

Pay Scale : Pay Band 2 (Rs 9300-34800/-) with Grade Pay of Rs 4200/-

Pre-revised Pay Scale : Rs 5000-150-8000.

Eligibility conditions and Qualification

Absorption/deputation basis

Officers under the Central Government :-
(a) (i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis; OR
(ii) With 8 years regular service in posts in the pay scale of Rs 3050-
4590; and

(b) Possessing the following qualifications :-

(i) Matriculation or its equivalent qualification from a recognized
University/Board.
(ii) Sanitary Inspector’s Certificate from a recognized Institution,
(iii) 2 Years experience as Sanitary Inspector in a well reputed
establishment.

Re-employment : The Armed Forces personnel due to retire or who are to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and having 5 years’ experience dealing with sanitation work in Defence Establishment and qualifications prescribed for direct recruits shall also be considered. Such persons shall be given deputation terms upto the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces; thereafter they may be continued on re-employment. (Reemployment upto the age of superannuation for Civil posts).

Note :- The candidates will be initially considered for appointment on deputation only.

Job Profile:- Administration supervision and allocation of work of safai karamcharis, Indenting/collection/issue of material (sanitary), Liaison with NDMC authorities for removing garbage from the dust bins and keeping roads etc, outside the buildings clean, Liaise with CPWD authorities for cleaning of choked sewer lines, repair/replacements of sanitary fitting of bathrooms/toilets etc.

The period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization/department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications. The appointment on deputation shall be governed by the terms and conditions laid down in Department of Personnel & Training O.M No 2/29/91-Estt(Pay-II) dated 05 Jan 94 as amended from time to time .

Applications received without enclosing educational certificates, lateb or without the ACRs, Integrity Certificate, Cadre Clearance and Vigilance Clearance or otherwise found incomplete will not be considered. It must also be certified that honesty and integrity of the officer is satisfactory and no major/minor penalty has been awarded to him during the last 10 years. Candidates after applying for the post will subsequently not be allowed to withdraw their candidature.
