The Directorate of Employment & Training, Government of Gujarat has been in the forefront of implementing various skill-building programmes with the aim of helping people get jobs and this, in-turn facilitates industrial development. At present there are 185 ITIs and 41 employment exchanges functioning under this Directorate. More than 5542 people working under the Directorate is imparting training to around 50,540 people per annum and assisting around 1.31 lakh people to get employment through employment exchanges.
