DECLARATION OF RESULT AND PREPARATION OF STATE MERIT LIST
The Competent Authority shall conduct of competitive written examination for Staff Nurses recruitment, evaluate the answer sheets and prepare the State Merit List (SML)

The Competent Authority will prepare a Merit List indicating Merit List Number, Name, Category Merit Number and Marks scored by the Candidate. The same will be made available at all the Govt. Medical College & Hospitals mentioned at Annexure “A”.
Corrections if any in the mark sheet e.g. Name, Age, Sex. Category, etc. representation should be submitted to the Competent Authority within 3 days from the date of declaration of merit list through the office of respective Divisional Authorities.
STATE MERIT LIST
The Competent Authority will prepare two separate State Merit List of eligible candidates. (1) State Merit List of eligible candidate those who have completed their General Nursing And Midwifery / Psychiatric Nursing / Orthopedic Nursing or Operation Theatre technique from the Govt. Institutions under the Director of Medical Education & Research and Directorate of Health Services, Govt. of Maharashtra. (2) Those who have completed their above nursing courses from other institutions recognised by the M.N.C.
Accordingly the selection will be made with giving the first preferences to the candidates who have completed their nursing courses as per State Merit List No.1 & if the seats remained vacant then may be consider the candidates those who have completed their nursing courses from other institution according to Merit List No.-2
The Selection List will be valid up to one Year only from the date of declaration of the selection list.

To be eligible for selection to recruitment for Staff Nurse post a candidate must secure 50 % marks in competitive written examination.

Tie-Breaker-Determination of the inter-se-merit of candidates obtaining.

Equal Marks in MHN-CWT In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the MHN-CWT 2010 the inter-se-merit of such candidates will be determined in the order of Preferences as
under.
The candidate with more aggregate marks (converted into percentage) at First, Second and Third Year of Revised General Nursing and Midwifery Course / B.Sc. Nursing taken together shall be preferred. If the tie still persists.
The candidate will more aggregate marks (converted into percentage) at Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 th Std.) shall be preferred. If the tie still persists.
The third Preference will be decided on the basis of higher total marks secured by the applicant at 10 th Std. examination, taken as a whole converted in percentage. If tie still persist an older candidate will be preferred over a younger candidate
