Sri Krishnadevaraya University was started as the Post Graduate centre in the year 1968. It was conferred the type of an affiliating University in 1987. At present, it caters higher educational needs of Anantapur and Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh.
38 post graduate courses are offered through its 28 departments. 11 PG Programmes are being held at the PG centre, Kurnool through 8 departments.
In the period of 2 decades of its continuation, the University has gained recognition as a centre of academic brilliance, as it has got four star status by NAAC.
