In a Diwali bonanza, Uttar Pradesh government has decided to implement recommendations of the sixth pay commission for the employees of corporations and public enterprises in the state.
"Nearly 98,000 employees of enterprises and corporations will be benefitted by the decision approved by the state cabinet," official sources said here today.
An order to this effect was issued by Principal Secretary Public Enterprises Sunanda Prasad late last night, they said.
As per the order like state employees, corporations and public enterprises staff will get benefit of sixth pay commission with retrospective effect from January 1, 2006.
However, the decision will be implemented with certain terms and conditions.
Staff of only those corporations and enterprises which are running into profit from the last three years and whose accounts have been audited by CAG will get the benefit.
